Labor Day Tetris
This weekend began Saturday night (my first 'Labor Day' back in Massachusetts) with a smoke and a listen to John Wayne's album, 'America, Why I Love Her.' These shots were intended to demonstrate that John Wayne and I have more in common than just the seven pounds of beef undigested sitting in our intestines...
Sunday afternoon our landlord stopped by. He works for a major defense contractor on a major project he named, "Taiwan Radar Shield," which he says, "keeps me humble." The man cut up all kinds of unruly weeds and whatnot from the patio. I helped him digout the deepest of the weeds with my hands and the choppers. Once I killed the thing, I had this rooty rat brain in my hands. It had started to grow under the concrete. Feast your eyes on it's true inner beauty. As Shane says in 'Shane', "Best piece of stump I ever ate..."
On Monday I slept for over eleven hours for the third or fourth night in a row. My depositories were very low on hours. I woke up an hour before I was to report to the Grill for work, and I decided the time would best be spent by a trip to Rosie's Bakery for coffee and a $6. cookie. The pig cookie caught my eye. Or should I say the pig cookie's eyes caught my eyes? This is what happened to the pig cookie when it got to it's destination.
